In the first fase of this study, attention is paid to the cross section of the dam for a plant in Cumberland Basin, capacity 1085 MW. Chosen is for generation over the ebb with use of bulb turbines. The main subject of this study was the design of the turbine caisson. The main subjects are Design principles, Dimensions, Loading and Foundation. The subvolume is about the enormous tidal difference (in dutch).
