How managers do not adopt new manufacturing technology, because of their management strategy. Furthermore, how management are the main influence on the adoption of new manufacturing technology. Questions in this thesis are asking on the affect of Additive Manufacturing on engineering change between the departmental interface of R&D and Manufacturing and the affect of Additive Manufacturing on the different levels of management. This study will proof that a Management Strategy for Additive Manufacturing is required to reduce engineering change, but also proposes a management strategy that aids managers to adopt Additive Manufacturing into company’s NPD process.
