(mentor) Faculty Architecture and The Built Environment Department Urbanism Programme Spatial planning Date 2014-01-27 Abstract This thesis examines the several ways in which the urban space of Bucharest together with its most popular elements of spatial production and the logic of the city’s mobility systems affect social and spatial inequality. Thus, the issue of inequality was used as an over-arching theme and as a way to give aim and purpose to the whole research process. The final result of this thesis is a spatial strategy based on mobility together with a design scenario for one of the areas in the city assigned by the strategy.
