Contributor Schoonman, J. (promotor) Goossens, A.P.L.M. (promotor) Faculty Applied Sciences Department DCT Date 2009-06-24 Abstract Space charges in two heterojunctions (i.e., TiO2/CuInS2 and TiO2/QD-CdSe) are studied by means of impedance spectroscopy and capacitance studies. Several lattice defects are found. When applied in solar cells, the defects may have a negative effect on the efficiency. Therefore, it is important to know the nature of the defects. In this thesis a detailed discussion on the defects is given.
