In approximately 12 months the author has executed many deep internal analysis on KLM's inflight services operations, its organization and processes, the cabin attendants and its external environment. And in addition to all prior analysis a case study was performed on, KLM's 'iPad on Board' pilot. The analysis have resulted in many important insights, opportunities and fundamental flaws. The main goal for this thesis was to develop an application that contributes to an efficient, enriching, premium and crew supportive operation. All conclusions from the analysis were integrated in an integral and strong mobile strategy, which includes a fully developed application-concept 'iris' and an implementation plan.
