(mentor) Faculty Industrial Design Engineering Department Design Engineering Programme Design for Sustainability Date 2016-06-27 Abstract This project aimed to research the perspective of companies on the relationship between sustainability and circular business models. This was done by first looking at how literature describes the relationship between sustainability and the circular economy/circular business models. With this as a basis, thirteen different multinational companies were reviewed on their corporate writing and interviewed to find their perspective on these two subjects. To thoroughly analyse the circular business models of these companies, a framework was created that difnes the eight different possible circular business model classifications that were found during this research. From the results and conclusions of this research, a new tool is proposed that can help companies to understand, improve and communicate their circular business models and sustainability ambitions Subject design researchsustainabilitysustainability ambitionscircular economycircular business modelscompany review To reference this document use: http://resolver.tudelft.nl/uuid:d9eed313-4fbb-4114-b498-342328208f12 Access restriction Campus only Part of collection Student theses Document type master thesis Rights (c) 2016 Ackermans, S.F.
