This treatise gives rules for such design, aiming at a pleasing impression for the observer, without reducing traffic-safety, in such a way that in every point a c1ear and harmonious road-picture will arise. This reports speaks about the necessity for harmony in the road picture and use of perspective. It treats in a mathematical way straight and curved road section. Also the properties of the curved section are discussed. Furthermore, the road-impression is extensively explained.
