(editor) Date 2016 Abstract We propose a conceptual simple algorithm based on offset curves obtained from the straight skeleton to simplify building outlines. We present initial results with some real world data and show that the approach can be used to simplify and amalgamate building outlines. We discuss how this approach can be extended to generate smooth transitions for continuous zoom.
