A problem that is easy to see on the streets and well covered in the media, yet it continues to grow. Why is that people are not able to maintain a healthy balance between diet and exercise and keep a consistent weight? Are it the fast food restaurants or the increasingly passive lifestyles of the Western world, or a combination of factors? This project attempted to find causes of people gaining weight and providing a small part of the solution in a new product, intended to keep people at a consistent healthy weight. The result was a product called the eWatcher, a wristworn product that motivates users to get more activity in their day and to increase the intensity of these activities. This Design for Interaction graduation project was done for TNO Quality of Life.
