I gave myself the challenge to design a keyboard layout that could possibly break the keyboard lock-in. By using the design strategy of applying innovation adoption theory, neurodesign and my personal experience of being a dyslexic I was able to design a: visually grouped, symbolic, dyslexic and low-literate friendly keyboard layout innovation. The resulting design is called TailType in which the letters with a similar 'tail-shape' are grouped together.
