Abstract

Thames estuary of UK is one of the most dynamic area with vulnerable coastline, but still most of residents there have no idea about what is happening and what will happen in their surroundings. Hence,the design of Environment Research Center intends to stress the dynamic climate changes in an adaptive way. The Environment Research Center is located in Two-tree Island in the Leigh-on-sea,UK.Two-tree island is in the transition zone of sea and mainland, and the research of project site is mainly focus on two aspects -- the site history and site characteristics.
