Abstract
New innovative cadastral projects are embracing satellite imagery and crowd sourcing, integrating disparate data sets, and leveraging all types of devices including smart phones and tables require new lightweight, easy-to-use technology for sustainable, reliable results. Technologies such as the cloud, appear on the surface to be unrealistic in the many parts of the world because of poor connectivity, remote locations and high cost. But with new geographic information system (GIS) technology and working with lightweight, inexpensive tools such as android phones and in a disconnected environment, it becomes a reliable, scalable mapping/cadastre platform. This presentation will detail and demonstrate how LADM is deployed in the cloud.
