The growing intensity of the need for housing cannot meet the development and resource availability. Mass standardised housing contributes to this irrevocable cycle of supply and demand. This project is an investigation into participatory design practices as a method for architects to revitalise communities through incentivising collaborative housing within existing urban structures in the suburb of IJsselmonde, Rotterdam. The project aims to show the potential of synthesis and collaboration for the development of new housing solutions.
