Contributor Prasad, R. (mentor) Harada, H. The use of code division multiple access scheme is considered in single and multiple pico cells. The performance is obtained by evaluating the bit error probability, throughput, and delay of the system in pico radio channel. The influence of selection diversity and forwad error correction coding ( FEC) on the performance parameters is also studied. The effect of the imperfection in power control has been investigated. Influence from the home cell as well as from the first tier of cells is considered. Both uplink and downlink transmissions are studied in a system with QPSK modulation.
