Faculty Civil Engineering and Geosciences Department Hydraulic Engineering Date 2015-12-01 Abstract The Port of Imbituba, located in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, is a privately operated port in Brazil. In the past, the port has been upgraded in order to meet the future growth in the size and number of vessels. The main breakwater and the quay were elongated and the waterway was deepened. In the first six months of 2014, a large dredging operation took place in the port. Since the extension of the main breakwater, the port is facing difficulties regarding sedimentation. The port authority of Imbituba is eager to find a proper long-term solution that prevents the area of enormous amounts of sand accretion Subject Brazilsedimentationbreakwater To reference this document use: http://resolver.tudelft.nl/uuid:aa3dc60b-ad8a-4842-8101-5f94010c6627 Publisher TU Delft, Section Hydraulic Engineering Access restriction Campus only Coordinates -28.1424, -48.4013 Source Master Project Report Part of collection Student theses Document type student report Rights (c) 2015 Kemper, A.Van Ekdom, K.Beulink, L.Hendriks, M.
