Abstract

Barakholka, one of the largest bazaars in Central Asia, is
in the collision between tradition and modernity. Guided by actor-network theory, the project's research reveals the heterogeneity of activity networks in bazaars and the importance of logistics networks and infrastructure for trade activities. The project is about designing an inclusive space, a space of negotiation where heterogeneous entities and activity networks can coexist.
