Abstract

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol knows security checkpoints for passengers but also for personnel, cargo and vehicles entering the Security Restricted Area - Critical Part. By using a discrete event simulation model, the performance of non-passenger security checkpoints is assessed together with options for improvement of the performance and efficiency of these checkpoints.
