Abstract
This thesis is based on a methodology study in the urban scale. By making use of different examples there are compared the traditional and the computational approach. The goal is to define which method is more appropriate to be used in the urban scale, knowing that the complaxity in this scale is very high. Are the computational methods appropriate to be used in this scale and if it is so, are they able to replace fully the traditional methods used to deal with this scale?
