Abstract
This thesis presents an experimental study to derive requirements for the application of inter-destination media synchronization for TV-broadcasts. It presents a novel measurement system, a set of measurements on real TV broadcasts services and the results of two user experiments involving a total of 46 participants. The results of the TV measurements and user test combined yield requirements for Inter-destination media synchronization for Social TV. The results are in the end compared to the requirements for inter-destination media synchronization in Video conferencing where Inter-destination media synchronization was traditionally applied to highlight the differences.
