Navidbakhsh, M. Rostami, M. Date 2006-09-08 Abstract By using CFD method, Fluent code , Aneurysm of specific locations of aorta artery have been simulated .For ascending, descending and abdominal aorta, aneurysm of different sizes and diameters are modeled. Geometrical data of aorta's sections have been extracted from physiological texts. Locations of hypothetical aneurysms are placed in the middle of studied sections. The applied inlet velocity profile is considered to be pulsatile in accordance with wormsley equations and blood flow is assumed laminar, viscous and incompressible. The frequency of heart is considered 1 Hz and each time step is 0.1s. In order to observe the pressure drops caused by aneurysm, pressure of each studied segment's outlet is applied zero and inlet pressure is calculated. The aorta walls have been assumed non-moving and rigid. Obtained pressure versus flow time graphs are compared with physiological data accordingly.
