Abstract

Summary of research in the British Channel on bedforms with the aim to show if there is an interaction with local sediment transport overthere and the sand balance of the Dutch coast. Focus is on echosounding and observation techniques. Theoretical background of the formation of ripples and waves on seabed and riverbed. Comparison of dunes on the sea bed with dunes in the Libyan desert.
