Abstract

Every day residents and visitors find their way through the complex urban
network to go to work or get education, or go sightseeing. This thesis
contains studies on the development of spatial knowledge, activity patterns,
and route dynamics of cyclists. The contributions and findings narrowed
the gap between research on travel behaviour research and research on
urban spatial knowledge.
