Abstract
Environment-friendly bank protection by incorporating mangrove vegetation is a new concept in Thailand. The objectives of the study can be described as to make an inventory of using a systematic approach on environment-friendly bank protection as a case study with mangrove river bank in Thailand and to study on wave damping characteristic by mangrove forest by investigating the realistic parametric ranges. In the report attention is paid to both wind generated waves as well is ship induced waves. Computations have been made with Dipro and with Endec.
