Abstract
This master thesis investigates the response of spirally welded steel tubes under 4-point bending deformation. Through the finite element simulations of a testing the buckling behavior of sprirally welded tubes can be more clearly understood. The numerical simulation and buckling behavior of spirally welded steel tubes is discussed in this report, the existing experimental data from physical tests is compared with the help of finite elements analysis.
