Abstract

A proposal for a series of water plazas along the route of the Rio Arzobispo in Bogotá, Colombia. This follows extensive research on elements of the city and how they are perceived through my method: Narrative Inhabitation. The bed of the rio has been redesigned to increase its capacity to hold rainwater to be released slowly, mitigating flood risks downstream. Whilst not flooded the Rio is a linear park, site of interactions and urban life, transforming a forgotten space into a socially productive part of the city.
