Abstract

This book presents state of the art theory and research on the added value of FM and CREM and explores 12 value parameters in depth, including cost, productivity, employee satisfaction, image, culture, health and safety, adaptability, risk, innovation and creativity, value of assets, sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. It also presents 12 interviews with practitioners about how they cope with the concept of added value and how they manage and measure adding value in daily practice. Finally the book presents a new Value Adding Management model, based on input-throughput-output-outcome and the renowned Deming cycle of Plan, Do, Check and Act, with a number of tools for each step.
