Abstract
This thesis investigates the determinants of perceived accessibility by air (PAA) for leisure air travelers in the Netherlands. Through a literature review, focus group study, destination-attractiveness ratings, and discrete choice models, it studies the effects of destination and transport attributes and identifies heterogeneous traveler segments. The findings provide insights into how market-based aviation climate policies may affect leisure air travel behavior and PAA of vacations.
