Abstract

Work and study environments that facilitate creative design processes, the so called creative spaces, have been gaining increased interest in recent years. The question whether or not the physical environment could support creative activities has attracted the attention of design schools, startups, and global enterprises. This PhD project contributes to this emerging field by providing a holistic investigation of the topic from different angles. The first part of this thesis explores the topic through four empirical studies, in order to gain a broad understanding of creative work and study environments.
