Abstract

A new form-finding method is developed for system combining arches, membranes, cables, ties and struts. First the whole mathematical theory is elaborated. After that, digital tools are created in the Grasshopper for Rhino environment. A design application is then elaborated to verify their efficacy. Non linear FEM analysis are used to simulate the wind action on the structure in order to evaluate the stiffness of the design proposal obtained by the developed tools.
