Sinds 2008 is de Richtlijn Steigers algemeen geaccepteerd als dé stand van de techniek om steigers op te bouwen, te gebruiken en te onderhouden. Onlangs is de richtlijn geactualiseerd. De scholingsstructuur heeft daardoor nog meer inhoud gekregen
