Institution National Research Council Canada, National Aeronautical Establishment, Aerodymanics Section Date 1963-06-30 Abstract A swirling viscous laminar wake imbedded in an irrotatlonal vortex has been examined using momentum integral methods. Fourth degree polynomials have been used to approximate the tangential and axial velocity dlstributions in the wake. Numerlcal solutions have been found for various values or initial care swirl end free stream swirl, although continuous solutions could not be obtained for all combinations of these parameters. Further work is necessary to determine the reason for the singularities which appear in certain solutions.
