Institution National Aerospace Laboratory NLR Date 1982-12-23 Abstract A method is described, by which geographical data are superposed in real time to the high resolution HRPT imagery, received from the TIROS-N series satellites. The superposition of additional geographical data is important for an accurate position determination of the image data. Computations necessary for the transformation, conversion and sorting of the additional data are performed on-line (i.e. during a period of five minutes, immediately before the image production). The superposition is based on orbit predictions with a circular model, which has been modified to decrease the geographical data position deviations in the image.
