If the intrinsic motivation is present at the project team, flexibility, collaboration and risk taking could facilitate an environment in which sustainability through MEAT criteria can be achieved. The structure of the MEAT procedure needs to be altered though to provide the required (financial) flexibility in the realisation phase.
