Institution National Aerospace Laboratory NLR Date 1979-11-30 Abstract The calculation method presented by Ting, Liu and Kleinstein in reference 3 has been subjected to an evaluation study, principally on the basis of experimental data obtained from special experiments on a half wing immersed in two jets. Very satisfactory results were found for the unflapped wing lying centrally within the jets. Both flap deflection and eccentricity deteriorates the prediction of the jet-induced lift change, but Ting's method is certainly not inferior to that of Levinsky et al. evaluated in reference 2. There are some indications, however, that Ting's approach does not offer many perspectives for applications to wing-outside-jet configurations Subject incompressible flowj et flownonuniform flowwingsflapsaerodynamic interferencenacellesjet boundarieswind tunnel testssemispan modelsniomerical analysissteady flowlift distributionslipstreamstwo dimensional flow To reference this document use: http://resolver.tudelft.nl/uuid:cc2cc788-78a0-4e06-bc89-330f379282be Publisher Nationaal Lucht- en Ruimtevaartlaboratorium Access restriction Campus only Source NLR-TR 80078 U Part of collection Aerospace Engineering Reports Document type report Rights (c)1979 National Aerospace Laboratory NLR Files PDF NLR_TR_80078_U.pdf 23.96 MB Close viewer /islandora/object/uuid:cc2cc788-78a0-4e06-bc89-330f379282be/datastream/OBJ/view
