This noise arises due to relative motion between the ECG electrode and skin. To remove this noise a reference signal is required that correlates to the noise. This thesis presents the design and test results of a prototype system that incorporates various motion sensors into an ECG electrode and finds correlation between the motion artefacts and motion sensors.
