Institution National Aerospace Laboratory NLR Date 1997-10-02 Abstract Computational grids are used for the discretisation of partial differential equations (PDE's) such that solution of the resulting system of algebraic equations for the discrete values of the dependent variables provides an approximation to the solution of the system of PDE's. When the discretisation of the partial differential equations (PDE's) is fixed, it is the local distribution of grid points, in terms of density and smoothness, that determines the accuracy of the numerical solution. The present thesis deals with adaption fo so-called single-block structured grids with a fixed nximber of grid points, as a tool to provide automatic control over the distribution of these grid points Subject Body-wing configurationsComputational fluid dynamicsGrid generation (mathematics)Multi-block gridsDelta wingsEuler-lagrange equationRocket nozzlesNavier-Stokes equationTransonic flowOrthogonalityVariational principlesWeighting functions To reference this document use: http://resolver.tudelft.nl/uuid:bcd1e96e-1247-4461-a306-5e1e47b63848 Publisher Nationaal Lucht- en Ruimtevaartlaboratorium Access restriction Campus only Source NLR Technical Publication TP 97482 U Part of collection Aerospace Engineering Reports Document type report Rights (c)1997 National Aerospace Laboratory NLR Files PDF 97482.pdf 77.9 MB Close viewer /islandora/object/uuid:bcd1e96e-1247-4461-a306-5e1e47b63848/datastream/OBJ/view
