A research and design for a new university library for the UvA at the Binnengasthuis area in Amsterdam. The Binnengasthuis area is an enclosed and introvert enclave in the middle of Amsterdam. The research focusses on the relevance of the introversion at the site. The design creates a symbiosis between the existing buildings and the new added function of a library. The result is a promenade architectural introvert.
