The thesis has developed an approach for better coping with risks and uncertainty associated with comples EPRD projects in the marine contracting industry. Two of the world's first EPRD project have been analyzed to generate specific knowledge on the effetiveness of current project risk management practice. An approach has been developed to improve the project risk management process in a practical context, using best practice methods, tools and techniques for managing project risk.
