Abstract

The new Delta Flume of Deltares (300 m long x 5 m wide x 9.5 m deep) is used to test wave interaction with, among others, sea defences (dikes, dunes), coastal structures (e.g. breakwaters, revetments and jetties), eco-dynamic designs and
coastal morphology. The present paper presents the first outcomes of the performance tests of the flume regarding wave generation and point wave measurements in the new Delta Flume.
