Abstract
In this contribution, we numerically study an aeroacoustic instability in deep quasi-axisymmetric cavities. An experimental study by Faure-Beaulieu et al. (2023) shows that a deep axisymmetric cavity in a pipe flow can cause a constructive hydrodynamic-acoustic feedback, in which multiple regimes can be observed. In this study, we numerically replicate these regimes and investigate the effect of geometrical imperfections that break the axisymmetry of the setup.
