Abstract

In this thesis, the design and implementation of a target tracking subsystem is outlined as part of a radar-based drone detection system. The end-goal of the tracking subsystem is to provide actionable data to the end-user, allowing appropriate action to be taken within the target application. Radar detections are simulated with their associated noise, uncertainty, and clutter. Field measurements show that the tracker is able to initiate tracks and follow the drone trajectory despite the added challenges of sensor measurement noise, missed detections, and false detections.
