Abstract

The article traces the history of intercommunication between the German Bauhaus and Dutch architects after World War I, sorting out consensus perspective and different arguments between them as well as detailed comments on the important exhibition events. With the multi-dimensional references interweaved by historical clues, biographical contacts, epistles views and architectural thoughts, it describes how the Netherlands, as one important front of Bauhaus’ network, to intervene into and affect the history of Bauhaus. Meanwhile, it demonstrates the ideas and status of J.J.P Oud, who could be the most important representative of Dutch architects at that time.
