Institution National Aerospace Laboratory NLR Date 1969-04-29 Abstract An investigation has been performed to obtain a reliable and economical method for the numerical integration of second order ordinary differential equations of considerable complexity over a long interval. A Nordsieck process of 10th order has been selected for this purpose, A derivation of the process is given in this report. Stability and accuracy have been thoroughly studied and the numerical results are compared with those of the 9"th order Adams-Moulton process and of a 5th order Runge-Kutta type process.
