Williamson, R.G. Institution National Research Council Canada, National Aeronautical Establishment, Gas Dynamics Section Date 1966-05-31 Abstract Experimental data are presented, re lating ta the operation under inclined flow conditions of a two-stage fan of high thrust loading (800 lb./sq. ft.) enclosed, in a cowled intake. The intake configurationhad been investigated previously, in the absence of the fan, over a similar range of intake velocity ratio and cross-flow angle (Ref. 1). The data are discussed in terms of the effect of the presence of the operating fan on inflow characteristics, and the effect of inflow distortion due to cowllip separation on fan performance.
