Project Molengraaff Fonds Date 1987 Abstract The training was offered by I.A.E.S.T,E., 'the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience', and concisted of working with G. P.C., the General Petroleum Company, in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This was done from July 1 until August 26 1987 (Appendix 1). The trainee could get experience in the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons, by working in the Cairo-headofficeand at the Ras Gharib oilfield. This paper is meant to give a global view of the work done during this training. I wish to thank I.A.E.S.T.E. and G.P.C. for giving the opportunity to gain practical experience by the interesting training which was offered. I also wish to thank the "Stichting Molengraaff Fonds” for giving subsidy to be able to perform this training.
