Urban Land Under Forces: The Progress and Setbacks of San Francisco’s Urban Transformation Since 1950

This thesis researches the urban transformations of two areas in San Francisco, the Northern Waterfront and the Western Addition area. By examining the contrast results of their redevelopments, lessons are derived in regard to planning strategies.
