Development of a crack severity index (CSI) for quantification of ecord stress spectra

A method is developed to quantify the severity of recorded stress spectra in terms of potential crack growth. The CSI (Crack Severity Index) defined is Intended for application to the stress monitoring results obtained in RNLAF F-16 aircraft. However, the methodology can be used for other applications, associated with other types of stress spectra.
