Book (2026) - Xueyan Liu, Sayeda Nahar
The workshop was motivated by the central goals of the KPE multiple recycling project, which focuses on advancing the sustainable reuse of asphalt through multiple recycling cycles. The event aimed to convene researchers and industry stakeholders to discuss both the opportunities and technical barriers associated with multi-recycling asphalt materials. Key areas of interest included understanding the effects of long-term aging on recycled materials, developing effective rejuvenation strategies, addressing challenges related to moisture sensitivity and interfacial bonding, exploring bio-based alternatives, and recognizing the practical limitations posed by current plant operations and process control technologies.

The workshop program featured four invited presentations delivered by five leading professors from Europe and the United States, each showcasing their latest research and advancements in the field of multi-recycled asphalt. These expert-led talks, followed by an interactive panel discussion, fostered meaningful knowledge exchange and highlighted important aspects and practical strategies for advancing multi-recycled asphalt. ...
