Abstract

Computer-aided design and parametric modelling offer constantly evolving methods of systematizing architectural design. This research builds on existing theories of systems and
patterns in architecture to form a new basis for the design of systematic architecture, using a process of patternmaking. Pattern-based design becomes a tool for finding flexibility and range within a modular system.
