Abstract

The project is a design for a community crafts centre in Antwerp. Researching the meaning of Institution in the Intimate City, the resulting project is one that conveys an atmosphere of intimacy through the notions of Geometry, Materiality and Identity, while being well insterted in the cultural, physical, historical, and temporal context and the collective identity of its inhabitants.
